Moby Dick’s White Whale Week

  Every year we donate a portion of our total sales from one week in the spring to the Wellfleet elementary school to help fund field trips and other events for the students.

the PAN MASS CHALLENGE

What is the PMC? The Pan-Massachusetts Challenge, an annual bike-a-thon that rolls through Wellfleet every august, and is a pioneer in the athletic fundraising industry and today raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country. In 2008, the PMC raised $35 million dollars, and, since 1980, it has raised more than $240 million dollars for cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund.

The PMC is a model of fundraising efficiency. In 2008, the PMC donated 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly to the cause.

The PMC generates half of the Jimmy Fund's annual revenue and it is Dana-Farber’s single largest contributor. Over 230,000 individual contributions were made in last year’s fundraising campaign. This year’s goal is to raise $36 million.

We ask for your help in sponsoring this great cause by making your own donation to our team to help them reach their 2009 fundraising goal of  $20,000.00 dollars

Wellfleet Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund

Each year in the fall the Chamber of Commerce sponsors an auction to raise scholarship money for Wellfleet students who are furthering their education. The auction is held the second Saturday after Columbus Day at the Council on Aging.

The auction gets off to a good start as Moby Dick’s donates a portion of the season’s sales from the Kid’s Menu to the fund. We believe in education! (read more!)
